FINALE (without strings)

At this time, it is still difficult to find an American theoretical physicist who will even look at nether theory. This seems shameful in light of the facts. Both mathematically and with dynamic solid geometry, we have shown the existence of an all-encompassing, frictionless, compressible, fluid with inertia which flows into vortices which have been wrongly described as particles of "matter". This fluid compresses tangentially when flowing into a large mass, and expands and accelerates radially. With this model, we have described gravity which has the same old inverse square law. But this fluid is not allowed to exist because its existence would upset the current dogma of physics.

The title of this little book is a pun. Our theory of nether, as the mother substance of the universe - and of the activity within it as the father - is a simple theory without strings. Although, I consider string and superstring theory as two of the most artistic and elaborate fantasies concocted by twentieth century physics (much better than phlogiston or particle physics), I am very grateful that the Creator actually enjoys beginning a universe in a simple way - with fractals or vortices.

A nether (dynamic ether, if you prefer) universe, begins in a most simple fashion and graduates to such complexity as to eclipse the original principles involved. This is the grandeur of light's illusion. Yet, the fundamental simplicity of it all, the economy of effort in its creation, is most elegant.

This little book catches up on the things that were either hastily mentioned, or not mentioned at all in the preceding five. The chapter on subatomic entities is new material. I had only a slight acquaintance with it when I wrote the fifth book of the series and more research had to be done to arrive where we are now.

Since people have been reading this series, they have sent me other books which indicate that a revolution is in progress in all fields of science. Red Earth, White Lies has to do with the lack of a substantial foundation regarding accepted theories of early man in the Americas. Chaos goes into the trials and tribulations of those who developed and introduced fractal theory against the wishes of their math professors. There is a book on David Bohm's interpretation of quantum mechanics which should eventually overcome the less likely Copenhagen interpretation. In fact, it seems quite apparent that our present system is so flawed that it usually prevents rather than allows us to advance scientifically.

The writing of this series has been stressful but also therapeutic during the times I have spent with it. Mart and I have definitely found some ideas that should cause a change in theoretical physics even if it turns out that we don't have it completely right. I have poked fun at the guys who built all the elaborate sand castles on the beaches of a non-nether universe. They really should be wary of the tide. I hope that Mart and I can have a sense of humor if or when something better than nether theory comes along.

The sun is going down as I write these words. Tomorrow will be another day when a new edition of the books in this series will erase the errors that were found in the first editions. Who knows what will happen the day after.

Science has become a mountain upon which clowns rule at the top while pouring water down upon those trying to advance. This causes meritorious newcomers to slip in the mud and assures the clowns of well-paying jobs. Perhaps it also prevents sudden fluctuations in the economy. The Creator must have had a sense of humor if It actually planned any of this.

But people are like ratchets. Even when threatened with having their heads lopped off, they never regress to an outmoded way of thinking. They might recant publicly to avoid torture or death, but inside there is a genie that will eventually come out of the bottle. The intent of this series is to create a genie that will fester in its bottles (those who read it) until it explodes into the greater consciousness, acting as a major force in the retaking of the mountain of science.
