NETHER MOVEMENT CLARIFIED

 

Nether has no velocity when it is being pulled to create a gravity funnel because velocity is, by definition, distance traveled over a period of time. The distance this nether travels over a period of time is not constant. No matter how fine a point or how fine a plane it moves through, nether in a gravity funnel does not move a constant distance over a time. It is always accelerating. However, its theoretical velocity, if a point of its passage were extended, can be determined.

We extend points of nether passage to show what its velocity would be if it were not accelerating further at these points. In this fashion we can better see in our mind's eye what is happening in a gravity funnel.

Even nether acceleration increases in a gravity funnel. As distance from the vacuum of a mass decreases, nether acceleration increases. And this, in a sense, makes nether acceleration an improper term in a gravity funnel. Since acceleration is distance divided by time squared, and the nether acceleration varies with distance, it is not really accelerating. Where velocity is d/t and acceleration is v/t, gravity is actually caused by a/t because time is used for the nether to move inward. However, since we usually measure it at one distance at a time from the center, it appears to us, roughly, as v/t or acceleration.

The human mind has little difficulty grasping the concept of velocity because we measure time with it. Acceleration is not so easy to understand. And acceleration of acceleration is even more difficult to understand except as a mathematical equation. This is what acceleration over time is: accelerating acceleration. If you think about it for a few weeks, it is not so difficult to have a "feel" for what it is.

Although the density of the nether increases as it approaches a mass, this does not effect gravity. Gravity is caused merely by the acceleration of the nether - not its density. It is like being in a river that is moving from a wide spot to a narrow spot. We are either feeling its tug or we are flowing along with it.

Gravity is great, the ordering force and the key to all forces, and the nether acceleration we know as gravity is more than sufficient for our needs as long as we walk on a curved plane whose tangent is perpendicular to the passing nether.
